Where can I get those knock off designer bags?

This is another question that gets asked frequently on Y!A despite being, well, stupid. You do realize that these are illegal, don't you, dummy? I mean, you're not going to post, "Hey where can I buy crack?" on a public forum are you? Well, I don't call myself brazen for nuthin'. Rather than blatantly endorse this illegal practice, I'm going to blindly recommend that all you hunters focus your energy on the following areas. What happens there is your business.

Lets see, where would I go if I were a frugal shopper? I might walk Uptown on Fifth Ave., but the prices on those designer wares can be downright scary. I might head down to Chelsea, but I'll probably find more of the same there. Soho? 34th Street/Herald Square? Well, I can find some pretty good deals there, but I'm really sweet on that designer look minus the hefty price tag. I probably should at least walk around, this is after all, the home of the largest Macy's on the planet. Wait, maybe the Outlet shops are the way to go? There's a bus I can take to the Woodbury Common Premium Outlets. Who cares if the stitches are crooked, they're legit and cheaper than the ones in the store, right? Nah, still too much. 

Maybe I should walk around Chinatown? But where? It's a big place. Canal Street perhaps? I've heard good things about Canal Street. Ya, that's probably a good place to look, Canal Street. Make sure you bring cash!
